CHELSEA (14th-34th Streets West of Fifth)
Chelsea, with the primary exception of new high rise developments along Sixth Avenue, is a an area of many streets filled with 6-story residential buildings, giving it a small neighborhood feel.
The main retail centers are 14th, 23d, and 34th streets running east/west - and 6th, 7th, and 8th Avenues running North South.
The famed Chelsea Hotel, former home to rock stars, writers, and artists commands center block at 23d Street between 6th and 7th Avenues.
