SMALL SPACES

Small is beautiful.

Small stores add variety to New York City and we are all about adding to the city's vibrant streetlife.

Barbershops, Nail salons, Cell Phone Stores, Newstands, Candy Stores, SHoe Repair sHops, Variety Stores, Coffeee Shops -- we like them all.

So if you're looking for even just a small space- under 500 square feet, you've come to the right place.

We run across a lot of small spaces no one else knows about, because small spaces are the types to be advertised with a sign in the window, not an ad in the Times or on the industry subscription services.

Small stores are people-to-people business. And like Sly Stone says, "We are everyday people."

But why else do we like small stores? Because small stores sometimes become big stores or turn into chains. And we have spaces for all those other stores.

There's a film school downtown called the New York Film Academy. Anyone gets acccepted. Why? Because the owner says, "Who am I to judge who can make a good film or what the public will want?"

Why else do we like small stores?

Most people would have written off Borat just looking at the trailer. Same with Rocky, and tens of movies like them." That's how we feel about small retail stores. We Like to see that you are giving it your shot. How else are we get the Jamba Juices, and the Pinkbverrys, and even the Starbucks of the world. They all start somewhere. With a dream. And a space.
